Installing
Parallels try to offer a very easy-to-use installation process, so user just need to install Parallels Desktop and then install Windows with 3 clicks of the mouse. Looks like Parallels made installation of Windows process simpler in virtual machine than on the real PC machine. The solution is setting up automatically shared folders between OS X and Windows. Parallels let you run programs from its Applications menu or the dock icon.

Working with the virtual machine
The software solution allows you to run the virtual machine in full screen display mode, window mode or a special mode (Coherence). This virtualization solution from Parallels allows nice integration between Windows and your Mac. Coherence mode has the ability to hide the Windows desktop and make it appear as if your Windows applications are running directly on your Mac. Coherence completely blew the broad between Windows and Mac and allows users to get the best of both environments at the same time. With this feature Parallels Desktop now goes even further to deepen OS integration and create a seamless user environment. Parallels Desktop is better integrated into the Mac OS desktop by means of registering file types with the Parallels guest applications,  MS Office applications could be opened by simple clicking on them. You can also get Windows notifications on the Mac desktop - that is very cool. When you right-click on a file and select Open With in Parallels, you can pick from a list of both Windows and Mac applications (this is a built in feature SmartSelect). If you choose a Mac application, it starts in OS X with the file. It’s very slick.


Snapshot Manager Feature lets you save a copy of your virtual machine at any point in time. You can create a snapshot for a stopped or running virtual machine. You may have any number of snapshots and they can all be easily managed. Parallels also have a nice UI for managing the snapshots.

The solution includes an option to run 3D games and supports DirectX and OpenGL so this can be a solution to run Windows games on your Mac.
