Affordable Event Reminder and Password Manager

Felitec has released Mindful v. 2.1, a handy Windows program that ensures that you'll never miss a birthday or anniversary again. Mindful is an event reminder that makes it easy to keep track of anniversaries, appointments, and other business and personal events. The program also includes a powerful password manager, random password generator, mini-calendar, date calculator, and countdown timer.

The event reminder keeps track of both one-time events, and recurring events such as birthdays and anniversaries. It's configured to recognize more than 70 American and Canadian holidays. Unlike rigid reminder programs, Mindful can be configured to work the way you do. Past non-recurring events can be retained on your event list, or removed when their dates are in the past.

After telling Mindful what years your friends and colleagues were born, their birthday reminders will display their ages. You can color-code events, to make it easier to track them by their status. Events can have explanatory notes, so you can remember which presents you bought last year, and what address to send a card to. You can even set alarms that will alert you to important events.

New features in version 2 include a password manager that securely stores all of your logon information for online accounts and for password-protected applications. Instead of your wrestling with dozens of IDs and passwords, Mindful stores all of your access information and passwords safely in one place. With just a few clicks, you can log onto any site quickly, easily, and securely.

Mindful also includes a random password generator that lets you build complex passwords that are difficult for outsiders to guess. By using combinations of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and punctuation characters, you can easily protect each Internet account and each password-protected application with access information that the bad guys won't be able to guess. It's so easy to create and retrieve complex passwords, you'll never be tempted again to use the same password for multiple accounts, a practice that is discouraged by security experts.

The mini-calendar is easy to resize, allowing you to display as many months as you wish. The handy date calculator tells you how many days separate any two dates. The countdown timer is easy to set, and will alert you when your favorite TV show will start, or when your eggs are boiled just the way you like them.
