July 26, 2006 - UK - The latest release of Stormdance's visualweb design software studio, Antenna 2.7, is now available, enabling beginners tocreate professional web sites visually without coding and with no previousexperience.
Version 2.7 adds over 50 enhancements: A smart menu object creates pull-down menusquickly, automatic complimentary and harmonic colour palette creation selectscolours that work well together, an eye-dropper picks any colour straight off thescreen and text boxes support multiple font sizes. Updates to all objects takeadvantage of the new opacity support in Opera 9 and form field validation is nowbuilt in. Several interface improvements such as automatic resizing of drop-downlists and a revised publishing dialogue speed up work-flow.
Antenna has the power to complete sophisticated sites in a short space of time - soexperienced designers can develop sites rapidly without spending hours craftingcomplex HTML code. Excellent cross-browser compatibility ensures text and imagesappear in web browsers exactly where they are placed in the editor with pixelaccuracy, taking the headache out of web page layout. The software includes builtin graphics capabilities for creating attractive roll-over buttons and smoothgradients, and has its own site publisher - cutting down on the need for additionalsoftware. It also creates professional digital photo galleries with a choice ofgallery layout and a quick access thumbnail image strip.
