ArcaMax Publishing's Holiday Idea Contest is now in the third week of its five-weekrun. The contest, which ends the Wednesday before Christmas, offers readers likeBernadette a chance to share their tips, crafts, and recipes with other ArcaMaxsubscribers. In addition, everyone who sends a tip is entered into a drawing forone of five Amazon gift certificates.
"Our Recipes section is very popular," says Scott Wolf, CEO of ArcaMax Publishing. "People like reading our chefs' recipes, but they're also enjoying these ideas fromtheir fellow readers. They like that personal touch, especially around this time ofyear."
The Holiday Idea section contains more than forty published tips - just a few of themany ArcaMax has received since the promotion started on November 16. The sectionsupplements the main holiday feature, which contains even more holiday tips. TheRecipes section has holiday dishes covering everything from the perfect turkey towhat to do with the leftovers. For advice outside the kitchen, there's consumernews covering the shopping season, as well as tips for decorating and safety aroundthe house.
For those looking to give a little more, there's also information on charities andtoy drives around the country. Readers looking for something on the lighter sidecan read fun facts about Christmas in other parts of the world, as well as tryingout trivia quizzes and vocabulary games.
Wolf adds, "We took a great deal of time creating this section to be fun andinformative, but a lot of that is coming from the readers themselves. Theirenthusiasm is what's making this special section work so well."
The contest runs until December 23rd, with a new winner chosen every Wednesday. Each winner will receive a $40 gift certificate to Amazon.com, as well as the chanceto have their idea published in one or more of ArcaMax's many online publications.
