Built by the Khmer kings in a process that lasts more than 4centuries, these wonderful site has been abandoned and forgotten. The jungle coveredit for centuries, but about 150 years ago, a french man re-descover it, and AngkorWat is becoming more and more popular since then.
The site angkorwhat.net wants to be a complete source of information for who desireto know more about Angkor, and, at the same time, a practical travel guide for whois planning a trip in this part of Cambodia. A big part is dedicated to Angkoritself, to its history and its temples. A gallery of more than 250 pictures willshow the most significative temples, bas-reliefs and sculptures. You can visitAngkor from the sky, using the satellite map and stay updated reading "The AngkorBlog".
To visit Angkor, you have to arrive there first. With this in mind, we have prepareda guide to the closest city to Angkor, that is Siem Reap. You will find info abouthow to arrive here by air or by bus.
