Now frustrated Van Goghs everywhere have a chance to find out. Ocean s Bridge ArtStudios is offering people the chance to have their inspiration turned into agenuine oil on canvas painting for free!
This is something we ve done for numerous clients over the years, but never reallyadvertised. They ve been some of our most fascinating projects. I m not much of anartist myself I don t have the technical skills but, like most people, I haveideas that I think would make wonderful paintings. I am excited about giving peoplethe chance to bring their artistic vision to fruition said James Skidmore,co-founder of Ocean s Bridge.
But how will it work? According to Dan Groves, chief artist in residence at thestudios, all that is needed is a good idea. Let us know your idea and anyinstructions or guidance you have, and we ll turn that into a painting. Sketches arehelpful, too he adds, but we ve worked from as little as an idea, a proposedlayout, and a few stylistic references .
By way of example, there s a tongue-in-cheek homage to Picasso that was recentlygiven as a wedding gift shown on the website (http://www.oceansbridge.com/ oil-paintings/youbetheartist.p hp)
The offer is open until the end of October. Each week one applicant will be chosenand their proposal turned into a painting, which upon completion is delivered to thewinner's door a few weeks later. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to workwith a real artist to have your creative vision brought into being as an oil oncanvas painting.
