Among the experts analyzing ArxceoÂ's defense were researchers from the Georgia TechResearch Institute, which fielded an  attack team that participated in the digitalexercise designed to engage cyber specialists in launching digital attacks onnetworks with varying levels of security. The Georgia Tech Research Institute teamsaid ArxceoÂ's Ally ip100 is likely to be very effective in deterring hackers fromattacking a network or server.
ArxceoÂ's Ally ip100Â is an easy-to-install, low-cost, low-maintenance solutiondesigned for small businesses, branch offices and departments hoping to avoidzero-day attacks, Denial of Service (DOS) attacks, or to keep safe from hackers andcorporate espionage breaches. The Ally ip100 creates an offensive, always-ondefense that prevents attackers from using even a single packet to probe the networkfor vulnerabilities. ArxceoÂ's Ally ip100 defense was the least expensive securitydevice integrated into the Digital Combat Exercise.
 We were asked to make this easier than the last Digital Combat Exercise, as allthe teams were frustrated and unable to get any information about devices behindour appliance. This year, we provided the IP address of the unprotected Webserverand told them there were at least two default services running on their standardports with easy-to-guess passwords, said Don Davidson, CEO, Arxceo.  In order tosimplify the process even further and make it a learning experience, we providedthe teams with our literature and towards the end of the lengthy exercise; weturned off our blacklisting feature.Â

Our penetration and hackingtools were giving us lots of false positives  leading us down bogus avenues andwasting our time as we attempted to crack various wide-open services that turned outnot to exist.Â
