Baltimore, MD. March 19, 2006. Digital Healthcare Inc, the Baltimore-based clinicalimaging and workflow management company today announced the availability of itslatest version of OcuLab iPÂ for clinical ophthalmology. This innovative productwill be introduced at the ASCRS upcoming meeting in San Francisco, March 17-22,2006.
The new OcuLab system features a wide range of improvements including a newinterface to OCT instruments with the XML export function enabled, new highresolution digital CCD cameras for improved imaging on fundus cameras, improvedpatient management workflow modules, patient appointment tracking and enhanced imageprocessing and analysis functions. The company also announced the availability ofits Web based ophthalmology viewer that allows images and patient historical data tobe viewed over a web portal from home or remote locations.

The iP system is a rapid applications development platform built on the highlyacclaimed Microsoft .NET framework. The system is a service oriented architecture(SOA) where the individual services are connected using a programmable workflowengine. In this way it becomes possible to develop complex applications that involvehigh performance imaging. The company has already announced products for DiabeticRetinal Diagnostic Imaging and is currently developing applications forpharmaceutical trials management. In February 2006, Digital Healthcare was awardedthe  Best in Class MS Health Users Group award for acute care with its OptoMize iP system.
