Big Accumulator, the web based  smart lotteryÂ' game, haslaunched a Charities and Good Causes program to help non-profit organisations raiseextra funds or top up shrinking National Lottery funds.
With the Olympics already swallowing 2.2billion from the Lottery good causes budget,and an estimated fifth of the entire budget until 2013 heading the same way,Charities and not-for-profit organisations around the UK are bracing themselves fora funding drought, and Big Accumulator thinks it can help.
 WeÂ're obviously, at the moment, a much smaller operation than the NationalLottery," Says creator Dan Eastmond "but for many small organisations or short termprojects that slip under the Lottery Fund radar this can be a real alternative. Oursystem gives any organisations direct control of how they raise funds, upping anddecreasing activity as they need it, and providing their supporters with a fun and hands onÂ' way of showing support .
Charities and Good Causes accepted on to Big AccumulatorÂ's program will earn 20% ofrevenue for all games they run.
Launched in early 2006, Big Accumulator is a highly interactive and playful "smartlottery" that gives players a suite of tools to play games, jump from game to game,spy on other players and even set up there own games. Taking it's cue from thesuccess of social networking sites such as You Tube and My Space, Big Accumulatoradds to the mix the everyman usability of Ebay for a truly unique online game.
