IP to work in an Egyptian orphanage proved so moving forJames Bliss that he s vowed to carry on helping.The 22-year-old from Talbot Heath has just returned from a week in Luxor where hehelped to care for 74 orphaned children who have been shunned by their families andcommunities due to illegitimacy.James, who works for Poole-based technology specialist Codestone, said: Childrenborn outside of marriage are shunned in Egypt because it s widely believed thatthey re bad spirits. It was very distressing to see the older children who havestarted to understand their circumstances. I felt very privileged to have the opportunity to work with these children weplayed football, talked with them and generally kept them occupied. The orphanage, which is run by Sunshine International, does amazingly with limitedresources but they do need more help. I will carry on with fundraising and hope togo back to help again.
