Convert any document to PDF is completely simple. You just haveto print the document and that's that. Vista PDF Creator includes a virtual printdriver that simply does all the work for you. As few people know, when you print adocument in modern versions of Windows, you translate the document to GDI/DDI (akaGraphics Device Interface/Device Driver Interface). Now, Vista PDF Creator generatesa PDF document from that sequence and lets you save it as a regular file. Thus, theconversion is done for you on the fly.
To an application, the Vista PDF Creator looks like a printer and allows theapplication to write a document as a PDF Document in the same way it would print thedocument to the printer. When a user prints their document to Vista PDF Creator,rather than sending the file to a printer, the software creates a PDF Document.
