Cyclope Internet Filtering Proxy 3.0 was finally released after it spent few months for intensive care and diagnostic .
The objective for the new release was to provide better internet filtering, well organized internet activity reports and easy information managing.
The new and improved approach in Cyclope Internet Filtering Proxy 3.0 allows two distinct deployment features:
- The standard deployment provides IP-oriented filtering / logging features available via setting the client machine browser proxy settings.
- The advanced deployment provides user - oriented filtering / logging features via additionally installing the provided client application with the client machine. Cyclope Internet Filtering Proxy enhanced deployment provides features for limiting user traffic size to custom predefined value. Enhanced logging features provides automatic log file removing when log file information has been processed, preventing high disk space usage.
An additional feature provided is the Custom Error Page. In this way, administrator can create customized error pages displayed with the user interface using an integrated tool. Turning logging on / off allows administrator to prohibit the proxy from logging unnecessary information.
