Bl uetooth is a an industry standard developed by a group of electronicsmanufacturers that allows any type of electronic equipment  from computers, mouse,printers, phones, keyboards, cellular phones, and headphones  to establish its ownpeer connections, without the need for wires, cables or any direct action from auser. Not only does Bluetooth remove the need for user intervention, it also helpsto conserve battery power because of its extremely low transmitting power.
The primary benefits of Bluetooth are that it is wireless, low-cost and automatic.Bluetooth also has the capability to connect up to eight devices at the same timewithout any communication error between any one of the eight. Since Bluetoothutilize spread-spectrum frequency hopping, it is extremely rare for more than onedevice to be transmitting on the same frequency at the same time. Bluetooth-enableddevices automatically switch frequencies 1,600 times per second, so it highlyimprobable that two Bluetooth-enabled devices will be on the exact same frequency atany given time. BluetoothÂ's frequency-hopping capability decreases the danger ofdisruption between any two devices since interference on a particular frequency canlast only for a millisecond or less.
When Bluetooth-enabled devices are within transmission range of each other, anelectronic exchange takes place to determine if they have data to exchange and shareor which one should be in control of the other. No user action or input is required everything happens automatically. As soon as an electronic handshake betweenBluetooth-devices occurs, the devices automatically establish a network.Bluetooth-enabled devices create a personal-area network (PAN) which may range fromseveral peripherals and electronic appliances or simply just your cell phone andyour Bluetooth headset. Once a PAN is established, each Bluetooth-device randomlychanges frequencies at the same time to stay in touch with each other and at thesame time avoid disrupting other PANs operating in the area.
