DigitalRacks today announced its acquisition of web hostingprovider LinuxHostingUK.co.uk. The amount has not been disclosed. The acquisitionwill mean the 2 companies will be integrated in to one, operating as DigitalRacks(http://www.digit alracks.com), who already offer their own web hosting services.LinuxHostingUK began trading in August 2005, and have since gained many newcustomers because of their competitive price plans, good service, and fast setup.The previous year has seen massive growths in the industry, with companies competingfor every customer they can get. "The acquisition will mark a new level of growth for us" said a DigitalRacksspokesman. They also said "the acquisition will not affect any customer ofLinuxHostingUK or their plans, over the next few weeks however, they will noticepossible changes to their control panel, being from cPanel to DigitalRacks own -Plesk 8.0""Customers will experience new and improved features and controlability, and willsee their service being more secure and reliable". "We will offer high levels ofsupport for any customer worried about the move and changes, and will support ourcustomers in managing their services effectivly".
DigitalRacks have already taken control, as of last week. From that time, theybecame the official owners of the brand, assets, and customers. And will handle allqueries. It is said that they DigitalRacks will not be using the LinuxHostingUKbrand name to offer any new services, but will offer it under their current tradingname DigitalRacks.
