Sydney, Australia, May 26th 2006  PassMark Software todayannounced the release of WirelessMon 2.0, the long-awaited new version of theirwireless network monitoring software. WirelessMon 2.0 is the ideal tool foridentifying security risks resulting from unsecured wireless servers and forplotting geographic coverage of wireless networks on a map.
The new map plotting feature enables users to create a WiFi  coverage mapÂ' byautomatically plotting the relative signal strength and number of detected signalson an imported map. Tracking points may either be entered manually or read directlyfrom Global Positioning System (GPS) devices.
Further improvements include: Added  Channel UsageÂ' graph showing potentialinterference; Ability for WirelessMon to act as a  connection managerÂ' allowingdirect connection to an access-point from within the program; a redesigned userinterface; and logs are now saveable in a Microsoft MapPoint compatible format.
