Eurotech has today introduced the CPU-1464, a highly reliableSingle Board Computer (SBC) for mobile high-speed networking applications. This RoHScompliant module is based around the 800MHz Intel? Pentium? III processor with 256MBDRAM soldered onboard and high-speed Gigabit Ethernet. The CPU-1464 is an upgradeand replacement to the widely proven CPU-1463 CPU module.
Suitable applications for the CPU-1464 include networked mobile real-timeapplications such as telecommunications controllers, vehicle data servers androuters, network controllers or multimedia and high-end video systems. The CPU-1464is the optimal choice of processing unit when selecting the core components for yourvehicle-based applications that need to be highly resistant to temperature, shockand vibration extremes.
Dedicated interfaces include Gigabit Ethernet, 10/100Mbit Ethernet, 4 USB1.1 ports,2 serial ports, 1 AC97 audio interface, 1 standard VGA output, 1 LVDS output andalso keyboard & PS/2 mouse ports. IDE mass storage devices, such as aDisk-on-Module, CF card or HDD, can be connected to the onboard high-speed EIDEcontroller. Also included is a real time clock, hardware watchdog timer andnon-volatile memory for system set-up storage.
The unique construction of this CPU module makes structural heat dissipation throughan enclosure easy to implement therefore expanding the range of suitableapplications. Efficient heat conduction from components and an optimised low powerdesign results in a wide standard operating temperature range from 0Â C to +50Â C oran extended range of -40Â C to +85Â C.
Full compatibility with the x86 hardware architecture guarantees compatibility withstandard operating systems such as WinCE , WinXPE and Linux . A CPU developmentsystem is available to speed up project development, testing and integration.
