The new update features support of devices with multiple configurations and minor bug-fixes. Windows CE version was provided with the new installer and Linux version acquired control utility.
London, UK FabulaTech announced today launch of USB for Remote Desktop 2.6 with a handful of enhancements in the release. Along with minor bug-fixes, support of devices with multiple configurations was added. Moreover, Windows CE version was provided with the new installer and Linux version acquired control utility.
It came out a little bit earlier than everyone expected, the new version has been thoroughly tested and is now fully ready for public use , commented Alan Rourke, one of the software developers.
Talking about the program in general, USB for Remote Desktop is an optimal virtual solution that lets you access your local USB devices while working in remote desktop session. It enables more efficient and simple management of USB devices. Its virtualization capabilities are able to ease your work in remote session. Windows, Linux and Windows CE ready , he added.
The program is ideal for:
- Virtual Desktops.
It's possible to use USB devices from virtual environment. USB devices connected to a host PC become visible from guest OS in virtual machine.
- Thin Clients.
USB devices being plugged to Windows XP, Linux or Windows CE Thin Client appears in remote Windows session (RDP or Citrix ICA).
- Terminal Services and Citrix.
Use universal USB redirection solution for both Microsoft Terminal Service and Citrix, either over ICA or over RDP.
- Blade computing.
Work with any USB device as if it were directly connected to remote blade computer.
