The new Frost effect is a truly revolutionary solution. It generates frost crystalsaround an image, imitating the frost patterns one sees on a window pane in winter.The unique algorithm developed together with professional artists offers a realisticeffect that appears very close to the natural phenomenon. It is not just alight-blue ornament, but real ice crystals growing up on the image borders, like ona freezing window pane.
The new Artistic Crop effect accentuates a certain part of an image by blurring therest of it. The focus of attention is shifted to this part and the photograph isseen in a new light. The blurred frame can have different color tints, while theframed image can not only be centered but also moved to any position on the frame.
Other changes: Frame Suite is now a Universal Binary application - it works equallyfast on both PPC- and Intel-Macs (without the Rosetta emulator). Compatibility withPhotoshop CS3 on Intel Mac. New interface and help languages have been added(English, German, Russian, and Japanese). Improved color profiles handling.
The 11 edge effects that come with Frame Suite can be easily tailored to yourparticular photo and generate an endless number of different photo frames. Select acolor for the frame; choose its form, its style, brightness, and the intensity ofthe applied edge effect. You can create a frame with ragged edges, scratchedsurface, a page curl, etc. It can be a wooden frame with figured carving or a framewith an ornament.
The software gives an opportunity to create a frame out of user patterns. Just savea square or rectangular pattern as a graphic file and use it to generate your uniquephoto frame. The result can be astounding!If you enjoy working with layers, you will appreciate the possibility to apply atransparent frame, so that the lower layer(s) could serve as a background. If you like the frame you get, you can save it as a preset and apply it to otherphotos in the future.
The program is available in two versions as an independent program (standalone)and as a plug-in to a photo editor.
