Pune, 2nd September, 2007: The two day Job Fair organized byNaukri.com, India s No. 1 job site at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, Swargate, Punewitnessed an exhilarating response from job seekers and companies from across thecountry. The fair, which started on 1st September 07, witnessed over 45,000thousand candidates in two days and provided appropriate job solutions to over 30companies participating at the fair.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Hitesh Oberoi, COO, Info Edge (India) Ltd said, Weare extremely delighted to see the overwhelming response to the job fair in Pune.The first hour witnessed a footfall of over 5000 people which is much beyond ourexpectations. Needless to say, both jobseekers and clients are enthused, and over4000 interviews are lined up for the coming few weeks. Going forward, we plan tomake Job Fairs a regular affair and cover various other cities in the country aswell.
The Job Fairs are aimed at establishing a direct connect and providing a fulfillingplatform for job aspirants and recruiting companies, both to fulfill their hiringneeds and to build their candidate databases for future requirements. Going aheadNaukri.com will also host Job fairs in Chennai on September 29th and 30th followedby Chandigarh, as part of phase one of this initiative.

We sawquality professionals walk in to the fair and we have short listed candidates thathave more than 2 years of experience. We had over 200requirements out of which 170 are based out of Pune. We have short listed candidatesaccording to our requirement which includes positions for software developers,technical support developers, and project managers etc.
Candidates were equally enthusiastic about the fair and very positive about thefinal outcome. Raja Bansole, an IT professional from Pune said that I got shortlisted for three companies and will be going for final interviews in the comingweek. I am extremely thankful to Naukri.com.
