Handy Recovery uses an Explorer-like interface to browse the contents of your disk.The difference is that after analysis of your disk, you can see deleted files andfolders along with the regular ones. The program shows the probability of successfulrecovery for each file.
Recovered files can be saved to any drive accessible on your system. You can alsorestore the full branch of the folder tree that contains selected files and folders.Along with the main file data, the program can recover alternate data streams, usedon NTFS to store additional information about files.
Handy Recovery features an option to create disk images for deferred recovery. Youcan create an exact image of a logical drive and save it to a special file inanother location. It is later possible to open this image and recover files from it.
WhatÂ's new in version 3.0:
The newly released version supports in-depth disk scanning ability for more than 45file types. The information about each file on the disk is stored in a file record.When a file is deleted, its file record is usually not destroyed immediately, sotypical recovery software can use this information to restore the file. HandyRecovery can perform in-depth disk scanning to find these file records if they havebeen deleted.
Other new features include:- Recovery of EFS-protected files;- Sector view to browse the low level disk content;- Support for compressed disk images;- Option to save recovery session;- File filtering by date and size.
