August 01, 2007 - Novosibirsk, Russia. SoftLogica announces therelease of Handy Recovery 4.0, a new version of its data recovery software designedto restore accidentally lost files. The program supports NTFS/NTFS 5, FAT 12/16/32and HFS/HFS+ file systems including image recovery from CompactFlash, SmartMedia,MultiMedia and Secure Digital cards.
Handy Recovery uses an Explorer-like interface to browse the contents of your disk.The difference is that after analysis of your disk, you can see deleted files andfolders along with the regular ones. The program shows the probability of successfulrecovery for each file. Recovered files can be saved to any drive accessible on yoursystem. You can also restore the full branch of the folder tree that containsselected files and folders. Along with the main file data, the program can recoveralternate data streams, used on NTFS to store additional information about files.
Handy Recovery features an option to create disk images for deferred recovery. Youcan create an exact image of a logical drive and save it to a special file inanother location. It is later possible to open this image and recover files from it.
