AKVIS Enhancer is image enhancement software that detects detail inunderexposed, overexposed and mid tone areas of a photo. You can improve detail on asingle shot or use the HDR mode to create an HDR image out of a series of shots.
When applied to one shot, AKVIS Enhancer brings out details by intensifyingcolor transition. It strengthens the difference between adjacent pixels that havedifferent color gradations and therefore reveals not only the details in the shadowbut even the details in the overexposed areas and mid-tones. Most images can be improved at default settings. For further adjustment you havefour parameters at your disposal: Details in Shadows, Details in Highlights, Levelof Detail and Lightness.
The stand-alone version of Enhancer supports HDRI (High Dynamic RangeImaging). This technology expands the dynamic range of an image and allows creatingimpressing pictures. The mode requires several shots of the same scene taken withdifferent exposures.
The plug-in version of Enhancer supports Photoshop batch processing that allowsapplying the same settings to a series of images. The plug-in version is compatiblewith Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Corel (Jasc) Paint Shop Pro, CorelPhoto-Paint, Corel Painter, Ulead Photo-Impact, etc.
