The Instrumentation ModelKit is a component providing a libraryof ready-made gauges and a visual designer which allows the customization of gaugesas well as their creation from scratch. In your applications, you can use suchvisual controls as meters, sliders, linear and circular scales, dials, indicators,progress bars, odometers, tanks, levels as well as non-standard instruments:horizon, scales, compass, clock, etc. All visual components can be easily customizedsubject to developer and user requirements. It is possible to modify any gaugeelement property: size, color, orientation, style, visibility, etc.
The well-designed architecture of the product provides an opportunity to usemultiple elements in a single gauge, for example, you can use multiple scales,sliders, pointers, and any other gauge elements. The use of the InstrumentationModelKit considerably optimizes the development, as the product features automaticlayout management system which locates scale elements (ticks, numeric and textlabels) automatically subject to elementsÂ' size, position, and value. A newUseRoundValues property in the Ticks and ScaleLabels elements allows the display ofround values on the scale in the most convenient manner.
The Instrumentation ModelKit grants a unique ability to design gauges from scratch.So, you can develop non-standard and functionally-unique instruments addressing theneeds of specific industries: from aerospace to hydropower. No special designer orprogrammer skills are required, as a gauge is created visually in the designer. Justa few mouse clicks  and a new instrument is created and can be integrated into yourapplication.
Created gauges can be used for data output as well as data input. So, users cantweak switches, move pointers and slides, etc. You can set intelligent behavior ofthe gauge controls. For example, you can make them react to alarming data, raisingor decreasing events or visually display alerts if the incoming data exceedspredefined ranges.
You can move data from and to PLCs, DCSs, and other control devices. Virtually anyhardware device supporting the OPC DA standard may be monitored and managed in yourapplications by using the DataChannel component which allows you to incorporate yourreal-time data channels with the OPC industry standard.
The product is a 100% C# component, and it is fully compatible with the .NETFramework 1.1 / 2.0. The Instrumentation ModelKit is easily integrated in MicrosoftVisual Studio.Net and other IDEs supporting .NET. Run time of the component isroyalty-free.
The Instrumentation ModelKit is a part of the .NET Dashboard Suite that features theDashBoardViewer component allowing the simultaneous use of gauges and charts. Thesuite is designed for the fast creation of digital dashboards and KPI.
