Microsoft Great Plains ERP implementation as general trend in MRP system is becomingthe subject for tighter integration with other corporate computer systems: CRM,Custom Databases, Point of Sales, etc. LetÂ's take a look at typical ProjectAccounting module integration scenarios. We will follow GP architecture guidelinesand will be feeding in so-called Master records: Contracts, Projects, Customers,Employees and so-called work transaction tables: Timesheets, Employee Expenses. Wediscourage you to insert records into so-called Open and Historical tables, as GPposting logic is complicated and it depends heavily on the GP settings: CustomerClasses, Posting Accounts, PA Module Settings to name a few. Timesheets. This is the most popular table for integration. LetÂ's assume thatyou are placement agency and you have your customer contracts and projects in GreatPlains Project Accounting  but they originate in your industry CRM system, whereyou track your temps skills, certifications, experience, working records as well asyour customers with their placement requests. GP Project Accounting is integrateddirectly with your GL and you have Project budgeting, cost categories, billingschedules in it as well  this allows you to bill your customers in PA Billing. Timesheets in the entry point in Project Accounting and you feed timesheet recordsfrom your CRM Contracts & Projects. These master records are in the following tables: PA01101and PA01201. Consider feeding records into these tables, as you may have newprojects in your CRM since the last integration run. Please, also checkContract/Project related tables  Billing schedules, Project Account Segments,Segments Overrides. Integration Technology. You should use SQL stored procedures to insert recordsinto Projects, Contracts, Timesheets, Employee Expenses tables. GP IntegrationManagers capabilities are limited, you should check the IM options for your GPversion: 6.0, 7.5, 8.0, 9.0 or 10.0 Microsoft Dexterity Posting Server.
