DURHAM, N.C., September 26, 2006  Island Training Solutions, Inc., an IBM businesspartner that provides training and mentoring for IBM Rational software tools, isnow selling and supporting Build Forge, a technology IBM purchased in May 2006 tohelp close the gap between writing code, building an application and releasing itinto production.
 Build Forge will be a boon for software development, said Jim Herron, president ofIsland Training Solutions.  Software developers can use Build Forge to assembleexisting scripts, tools and processes into repeatable tasks that eliminate humanerror. And managers will appreciate Build ForgeÂ's capability to provide performancemeasurement and full audit trails of all tasks.Â
In addition to providing Build Forge sales and support, Island Training is nowoffering Introduction to Build Forge, a free, live presentation delivered remotelyvia web and teleconference on Monday, October 2, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern. Introductionto Build Forge will provide a technical summary of the technology, typicalapplications and benefits.
Developers who would like to test drive Build Forge can also attend IslandTrainingÂ's Build Forge Workshop, a two-hour, hands-on, instructor-led workshopdelivered remotely via Island TrainingÂ's virtual classroom. The Build Forge Workshopis offered weekly, starting October 5, at no cost.
Island Training is also developing Build Forge Accelerator, an intensive five-daytraining and support program for new Build Forge installations.
