Jalandhar Computer Dealers Association (JCDA) is organizing anexclusive IT trade fair called  JCDA IT EXPO . This is a first initiative of itskind taken by any association in this region. The expo is scheduled on 3-5 November2006 at Shagun Palace in Jalandhar city.
Speaking to itVARnews, Rajeev Khanna, President, JCDA said, Â This is going to be afirst IT expo in the area and we have started getting very good response from thebig IT vendors i.e. various big brands like HP, Epson, Techcom, Orchid, Microtek,iBall has already confirmed their participation in the expo and talks for the samewith other brands are in pipeline.Â
The event is one of its type being organized first time in the region and willprovide a rare opportunity for vendors to showcase their products and peripheralsunder one roof. A large footfall is expected from a diversified list of targetsegment ranging from sophisticated end users, industrial and institutional buyers,IT and EDP managers from leading industries, web masters and developers etc.
When asked about the advertising strategy for the event he answered, Â In order tomake the event a success we are advertising the same through various means includingpamphlets, hoardings, local cable channels, advertisements in radio and localnewspapers.Â
This IT expo will focus on the latest technology and products showcasing computers,components and office automation category. The event will also include various otherattractions like daily 3 to 4 VIPs and corporates guests etc.
Explaining the objectives of organizing such an event in the area Khanna said, themain aim of the expo is to enlighten the users and bringing more and more newtechnologies and brands in area. This expo is expected to bring more business in thearea as well.Â
He summed up the conversation saying, Â JCDA is aiming to make the expo a nationallevel event gathering huge success.Â
