A leading Japanese Company is outsourcing its mobile applications development, tapping Rapidsoft Systems, Inc. and its team of engineers to develop several new mobile applications for the US market. The deal includes many key enhancements to its widely popular mobile applications, and porting these applications to new generation of smart handsets.
The company distributes these very popular applications through all major US cellular operators such as Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, US Cellular, Cingular, ATT and T-Mobile. The mobile applications include Brew, J2ME, Blackberry and other variations. Rapidsoft team will be porting applications to many new smart handsets including many with touch-screen capability. Rapidsoft will also be helping the company through carrier certifications and Brew Testing process.
Dr. B. Kumar, CEO of Rapidsoft Systems, Inc. says: This contract will allow us to leverage our expertise in mobile application development and mobile application porting area. This is a very important project for us as it allows us to demonstrate our strong and unique capabilities in all mobile platforms segments. There are not many outsourcing companies in the mobile application development area that can work over such a wide variety of handsets from J2ME to Brew. He added that these applications will be primarily developed at their Mobile Device Porting and Migration center in India. However, the company plans to test them over US networks when they are ready.
