MON.ITOR.US empowers the open source community through itsMonitis.org portal by offering an open API (Application Programming Interface) andopen sourcing its components. It is providing toolsets and a location to manage anddistribute new community developments in order to benefit all MON.ITOR.US users. The Monitis.org portal is designed to be a primary destination for collaboration,advancement and innovation in the systems management and monitoring area. Developers are encouraged to build new extensions, modules, as well as localized orspecialized applications. In addition, MON.ITOR.US opens the source code of itswidgets which enables developers to learn and enhance them collectively.
Using Monitis.org developers can register, request and start new projects, managemailing lists, maintain access to the version control system SVN, run forums, wikis,and documentation, and release and distribute new modules.
