IRVINE, CA, June 6, 2007 - Mirus Innovations is the latestsystem builder to accept delivery of FarStone DriveClone SR (System Recovery)software, which restores PCs in case of system loss. Mirus is shipping DriveClonewith Windows XP and Vista operating systems. Yet another version of DriveClone SRwill be installed on Linux systems.
"FarStone's DriveClone System Recovery was easy to integrate into our systems andrequired no change in our manufacturing process," said Richard Shyu, vice presidentof sales and marketing for Mirus. "We feel that FarStone's solution will provide ourcustomers with an easy and quick way to recover their system without having tocontact customer or technical support."
With DriveClone SR, the system builder or system integrator can multicast a modelsystem, including a factory backup image, across multiple systems before they aresealed. The backup image can be accessed later through a simple interface, allowingusers to recover almost immediately from most data disasters. Users can also burntheir system image to DVD and store it in a secure location for recovery from harddrive failure.
FarStone's DriveClone Pro (www.farstone.com/software/dri veclone-pro.htm) diskimaging technology backs up an entire system with an encrypted archive of all files,programs, and operating system information, storing the information in a hiddenprotected partition on the hard drive. The software continues to operate in pre-OSmode even when Windows will not boot.
