Version 2.0 will enable more effective case management. Claims handlers will be ableto create ad-hoc tasks and add them to a task list in AquariumClaims. A diaryfeature will ensure the tasks are scheduled and followed up in a timely manner. Tomake claims handling even easier, the software has been integrated with MicrosoftOutlook so that tasks and meetings can be synchronised with Outlook calendars. Userswill be able to assign tasks to other team members, while system administrators canview individual tasks and reassign them as required.
To improve direct communication with the customer, the SMS alert function has beenadded. For an additional cost per SMS, claims handlers will be able to create eventsthat send pre-defined text messages to clients. Users will also be able to sendemails directly from AquariumClaims, upload documents and attach files, uploademails and documents to Aquarium from Outlook for future reference, and embed tagsto emails originating from Aquarium to automate upload to the correct lead or case.
Another very useful feature permits fields to be mandated to specific events, enforcing process control by stopping claims handlers short cutting the steps inthe process. Linked to this, data entered by the user can be validated againstpre-determined formats so that the information stored on the system is consistentlyaccurate and in the correct format.
AquariumClaims clearly delivers and has major market potential with claimscompanies. The new easy-to-use features in Version 2.0 will make it an even betterproduct, delivering greater simplicity and reliability to the claims handlingprocess. I am confident that the new product will be well received by the industry, said Aquarium s product marketing director, Mark Colonnese.
Version 2.0 is scheduled for release on 31 August. AquariumClaims is designed to bequick to set up and is available at a comparatively lower cost. It uses the latestweb-based technology giving users a powerful solution at a cost that traditionalsoftware providers cannot match.
Aquarium has set up a 60 second online test which allows claims companies tocompare their current processes with state-of-the-art claims processing usingAquariumClaims. Notes to editorsTraditional software is installed locally on the user s own server, so requires theuser s IT staff to install and update the software. By using a Software as a Service(SaaS) model, Aquarium does away with this, taking care of installation, maintenanceand upgrading of the software as well as secure data storage. The company has alsorevised its pricing model so, instead of the traditional upfront license costs, ongoing maintenance charges and heavy consultancy set-up fees, Aquarium can offerusers faster start-up and much more flexible pay-as-you-go pricing, if they want.
