Park City, UT - Network Event Viewer Version 6.0(http://www.e-janco.com/ne v.htm) has just been released. Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)mandates that you save your security event logs. The Network Event Viewer meets thatrequirement. The program runs as a service on a windows computer and lets you:1.)Quickly download and view multiple logs by navigating to each computer andselecting the automatically discovered logs; 2.)Consolidate event logs to either afile server or SQL Server 2000 or 2005; and 3.)Schedule the frequency to downloadand save event logs centrally

The program's author, Michael Janulaitis said, "NEV is the one tool that meets themonitoring needs of system and network administrators. In a few minutes every eventlog in the network is available." He added, "The program has an auto update featurewhich provides the user with the latest updates to the program with ease."Network Event Viewer enables Network Administrators to manage and view multipleWindows XP/2000/NT Event log files simultaneously. The Windows Event Logs aredownloaded from the networked computers and saved locally. Network Administratorscan manually download files, or configure the Network Event Viewer service todownload and/or clear the files at a specific time or interval. Filters can becreated enabling the service to automatically email important entries to the NetworkAdministrator. The service can send a PDA friendly message or a detailed messagewhich includes the entries of interest. The service can also append the filteredresults to a file. The viewer enables Network Administrators to view multiple filessimultaneously. The viewer supports the same filter mechanism as the serviceenabling specific entries on multiple machines to be viewed. The viewer also has asearch function.
