With StatPlus 2005, one gets a robust suite of statistics tools and graphicalanalysis methods that are easily accessed through a simple and straightforwardinterface. The range of possible applications of StatPlus 2005 is virtuallyunlimited  sociology, financial analysis, biostatistics, economics, insuranceindustry, healthcare and clinical research, probability calculations for lotteriesand gambling operations - to name just a few fields where the program is alreadybeing extensively used.
StatPlus 2005 is capable of performing a variety of data processing operations. These include all basic statistic tests as well as advanced ones, like normalitytests, Pagurova Criterion, various correlation coefficients, MANOVA. Non-parametricstatistical tools are available as well. These include a variety of methods  fromcontingency tables analysis up to rank correlations and independent samplescomparison, Kruskal-Wallis ANOVA, Cochran Q test.
StartPlus 2005 also is capable of doing time series and survival analysis (e.g. Coxregression, probit analysis). When performing Time Series analysis, additionaltools are available, like removing mean, differencing, exponential smoothing. Built-in tools include spell checker, random number generator and matrix operationstool.
While StatPlus 2005 is a  heavy-duty professional statistical analysis tool, theinterface is so simple that even people who have no knowledge of statistics arecapable of processing data, provided they know how to use PC and clear instructionsare given. This frees up intellectual resources for analyzing the results, ratherthan agonizing over who and how processed the data, and if any mistakes were made inthe process.
Data sets can be easily imported from Microsoft Excel or StatSoft Statistica or evenHTML documents, processed and then exported back. In addition to that, StatPlus2005 builds various kinds of charts (histograms, bars, areas, point-graphs, pies)and features over 90 math formulas. Because StatPlus 2005 supports objects linkingand embedding, they can be inserted into other documents (e.g. Microsoft Excelcharts, Microsoft Visio diagrams, MathSoft MathCad sheets, etc.).

The cost of registering the program is 75 US Dollars; discounts for academicinstitutions, such as colleges, universities, schools and research labs areavailable. Discounts are also available to people who participate inquality-testing of the program during the month of May.
Software developers provide e-mail support both for tech issues that have to dealwith running and setting up the program, and also willingly give statistics advice,such as picking the best method for a particular data set or how the results of dataanalysis should be interpreted.
