Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, April 30, 2007: WithIntelligent Infrastructure Management (IIM) being deployed in data centreenvironments where power and cooling are becoming increasingly critical, Nexans, theworldwide leader in the cable industry and expert in IIM solutions, is pleased toannounce the launch of the Mk II analyser range. This new analyser represents asignificant evolution in the LANsense analyser family and the development has anumber of facets. The most significant improvements have been made to theenvironmental aspects of the analyser where a complete redesign of the I/O subsystemhas lead to a 72% reduction in power consumption and a 73% reduction in heat output.The redesign also achieved the goal of 100% RoHS compliance.

The new analyser also has an increased onboard memory allocation which improvesfunctionality and is an industry first with a newly designed LCD which facilitatesthe display of graphic based languages  essential for the deployment of IIM in manyemerging regions. Technician feedback has also been enhanced through the use ofadditional diagnostics tests and a redesigned analyser status panel.
