File2Pack SFX will pack and compress your selected files into a single package whichcan serve as a file archiver, self extractor, or for file backup and restore. TheF2P package can be compiled into a distributable F2P Self Extractor which is a lightweight and extremely fast file unpacker, ideal for distribution on CD, or over theinternet. File2Pack SFX is well adapted for file backup and restore operation. Youcan backup important files in your system by adding them to the F2P package. Theupdate feature keeps these files synchronized with the original files. The restorefeature restores selected files in the F2P package back to the system.
The program new GUI is elegant, practical, and fully customizable. File2Pack SFXversion 2.0 has a modern interface designed for easy access and usage. Menu itemshave small icons for easy identification. The user can set the toolbar icons assmall or large, in addition to the font type, size, or color, and background colorof the file explorer window. F2P package files can be viewed as large icons, smallicons, list, or report. File information columns can be added, removed, widened, andsorted. The application can reside hidden in system tray from where it can beactivated by double-menus.
The second version is now absolutely easy and fun to use. When you create or open anF2P package, you can drag-and-drop files and/or folders directly into itsexplorer-style window. Swiftly, they will get packed with strong compression as theyare absorbed into the package. You can easily add, remove, replace, extract, or evenopen files within the F2P package for viewing, running, or editing. Each file willbe opened with its system associated application. If some opened file, say a Worddocument, was edited and saved, File2Pack SFX, automatically updates the worddocument within the F2P package with the changes. You can import files to the F2Ppackage from different types of archives such as Cabinet (Cab), Zip, Rar, Tar, GZip,and Ace archives. Likewise, you can export the F2P package files into Cab, Zip, Tar,and GZip archives.
