HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a new technique for treating prostratecancer. Ultrasound has been used for medical imaging for many years, but recentlythe technology has been developed so that it can be used for treatment as well asdiagnosis. HIFU is being studied around the world to treat all types of cancer andsoft tissue diseases.
Adido Solutions worked closely with Winterbourne Hospital Marketing department tocome up with a website primarily as an information source for people with prostratecancer, respective family members or loved ones. The idea for the website was partof the Winterbourne s marketing strategy and was to be the focal point ofinformation. Previous to the website information packs where distributed whichstarted to get expensive and was not environmentally friendly; a greener and quickersource of information was available via the website.
