 We first created the site because we needed a search service that searches multiplesearch engines at the same time, and we did not think there was any similar goodsites that did this. Eventually we thought that this site could be of some use toother people aswell, so that is why we are now making it public. The aim withAgent55 is to give the users access to a much larger piece of the Internet than whatthey can reach by using only one search engine , Goran Johansson, President ofAwesume Interactive, says.
What search engines is used by Agent55 is determined by many factors, amongst them:availability, speed, functionality and the users ratings.Every search engine is alsochecked each day so they work properly and don't contain spywares, viruses oranoying popup-windows.
Agent55 currently exists in two versions. One global(english language) and alocalized Swedish language version with different search capabilities. The globalsearches the web, images, videos, musik, shopping, software etc. and the localizedsearches only within its own country for best buy, used products, jobs, news etc. The idea is that we soon are going to add more categories and more localizedversions for other countries, eg. United Kingdom, Germany, USA, Finland and Norway ,Goran Johansson adds.
