When installed on a Flash or USB drive, the program allows users to perform easy backup and disaster recovery of compter data even if it's not possible to boot a computer a usual way.

Handy Backup Disaster Recovery is an innovative Java-driven software that provides a comfortable way to back up HDD and restore them whatever happens.

"It's been almost four years since we added an image feature to Handy Backup, but it had one shortcoming because its images could only be restored under a working operating system. But now the program is able of creating recovery disks that can be used to boot the computer and recover the system something happens to the original one."
Disaster Recovery drives created with the help of the new software exploit an operating system, which allows using them independently of the primary computer's HDD. This way Handy Backup Disaster Recovery solves the problem of backing up and restoring data commonly locked by Windows : since the computer is booted up from a recovery media, the main HDD remains "cold".

The software is a shareware product with a 30 days trial period. Those who purchase Professional, Full or Server edition of Handy Backup can can receive Handy Backup Disaster Recovery for free. It can also be obtained as a standalone product priced at $29.
