September 4, 2007 Web hosting provider ProperHost.net(http://www.pro perhost.net) announced on Monday that they have expanded their offersto include web hosting services based on servers located in the United Kingdom.Customers now have the option to choose at which data center location they wanttheir sites hosted.
Up until now, all client accounts have been hosted on US-based servers in PEER1 sfacility in Fremont, California.
"Our intention is to provide an equally good service for all our clients, withoutregard to which part of the world they are physically located. With servers nowavailable in the United Kingdom, clients from Europe, Asia, and Africa will all seea significant improvement in terms of network speed and latency," says Sindre Moe,Director of ProperHost.net.
The UK-based servers are deployed in the BlueSquare Data Center in Maidenhead, about20 miles from London. A state-of-the-art facility utilizing N+1 redundancy systemsand a total of 20Gbit/s network connectivity.
