SQL Farms, Inc. announced earlier today a new technology andredistributable offerings to collect performance metrics and query data from remoteSQL Server environments and data centers, without any remote installations orfootprint. The new technology is based on SQL Farms distributed queryingcapabilities and aims to assist virtualization providers to troubleshoot and getdata from all databases and SQL servers and instances in remote customer locations.The technology is based on SQL Farms previous offerings that include distributedparallel database access features, which allow users to run queries against manydatabases and servers and receive a single aggregated result set with data from alldata sources.
The new redistributable offerings and licenses provide virtualization vendors with aturn-key solution for remote data collection. Virtualization providers can writecustom queries of use code provided by SQL Farms, send the code to the customersite, and get back a single file containing data from all databases and servers. Theproprietary file can then be opened in SQL Farm Combine, SQL Farms flagshipproduct, and the data can be viewed, edited, analyzed, or saved to databases andfiles for further investigation.
Our latest offering provides virtualization vendors with eyes and ears at remotecustomer sites. When end-customers ask virtualization providers to check the virtualSQL Servers and instances, they can now pass data, performance metrics, executionplans, or any other items from their SQL Server environment to the vendors , saidDr. Omri Bahat, CEO of SQL Farms. The redistributable components and offerings forvirtualization providers are now available as part of SQL Farm Combine 1.9, thelatest release of SQL Farms flagship product.
