As SpivO s team of technical experts work around the clock toget the SpivO Mail service back online, the search engine s ability to launch thenew channels has become a little off schedule. In spite of that, SpivO has nowlaunched SpivO Weather.
The SpivO Weather channel (http://www.spivo.com/weather) offers a graphical weatheroutlook of any region after the user types in a postal code or city name. Thechannel utilizes data from the Weather Channel s Weather.com database.
In an effort to add an additional benefit for the SpivO users, SpivO Weather userscan use the interactive SpivO Weather, based on the same technology used in theinteractive SpivO News channel.
Weather video feeds are streamed into the channel and updated twenty-four hours aday with video news reports from local news channels across America and nationalweather reports from sources such as the Associated Press. SpivO s Weather resourceis completely new to the SpivO Network. The network did not have weather informationuntil this year s upgrade.
SpivO s Jack Thomas explained, We like creating new channels with usefulinformation or innovative concepts. However, there are some services, like weatherinformation, that visitors just expect from an online resource. I feel like we veintegrated necessary content in a clean, simple layout with moderate graphicalenhancements.
Cur rently, the weather information must be accessed from the weather resource butSpivO does have plans to integrate the information into other locally targetedchannels like SpivO Movie Times (scheduled to launch this week) and the SpivO searchengine.
