Warrington Tuesday February 20th 2007. Simply Mail Solutionshas announced that the volume of emails passing through its servers is now exceeding2.5 million per month - this equates to about 125GB per month of data traffic. Thepeak time is between 1100 and 1200 GMT with about 70,000 messages being handled perhour. Interestingly the minimum traffic is between 0300 and 0400 GMT but it is stillrunning at 22,000 messages per hour.
Whilst this reflects the international nature of email it also is related to thefact that amongst the thousands of SMS users, significant numbers are outside the UKÂ with (at mid February) the number of countries customers standing at 20 Â Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India,Italy, Japan, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, Sweden,Switzerland, USA, and of course the UK. The second largest group of users (after theUK!) are from the USA.
