The mobile phone requires  syncing software inorder to take properly take advantage of email. This means that when the server andthe mobile phone communicate they make sure that the information on the mobile is upto date and  synced with the server.  Push email is the capability to deliver emailto the mobile as soon as it is received at the server and is normally included withthe software on the mobile enabled phone.
Email software is included with a number of mobiles but for the others Roadsyncsoftware supported by SMS is available for download by customers from the SMSwebsite.
