A Coventry man has just launched a business tool that couldhelp save the planet and save money for businesses as well.

Tom Williamson s company Solar Host is an environmentally friendly and responsibleweb hosting company whose mission is to reduce carbon emissions through beingpowered by 100% solar energy.

Environmentally friendly users and businesses can now choose to have their websiteand emails supplied this way to enable them to be eco-friendly and help to reducethe energy consumption. Solar Host s servers use sixty percent less energy andgenerate fifty percent less heat than that of ordinary servers.

The project has taken months of hard work but is now ready to be launched.

Founder of Solar Host, Tom Williamson said:

24/7 web hosting uses up a lot of power, most of which is wasted with redundantnetworks and backup systems. Our purpose built data centre has gone above and beyondthe call of duty to ensure the most eco-friendly service possible at very reasonableprices, so it won t break the bank to save the earth. The system is also friendly tothe user as well as to the environment as you don t need to be technically adept touse our packages!

Normal websites run 24 hours a day even when there are no visitors and this usesan incredible amount of energy over a year.

Tom Williamson added:

Our service allows customers to state as fact that their website does not harm theenvironment and anyone who cares about the planet must see this as the way forward.

Packages range from just email provision right up to several gigabytes of web spaceand we are committed to making the service affordable so our eco-friendly servicedoesn t cost the earth to join either.
