London, England, 19 March 2007, - Big Faceless Organization(BFO), has released a new version of their market leading Java PDF Library. Version2.7.8 provides significant improvements to clients using the PDF Viewer extension tobuild interactive viewers.
CTO Mike Bremford, says  significant modifications have been made to thePageExtractor class. Text that was previously being extracted as individual lettersor smaller groups are now being reassembled where possible into longer phrases. Somewords had previously been broken up by the PDF structure .
The PDF Viewer allows you to extract and index text and images from PDF documents,including integration with Apache Lucene. ThereÂ's also a SWING component fordisplaying PDFÂ's, along with the ability to convert PDF to TIFF and PDF documentprinting including support for annotations.
The PDF Viewer is available as an extension to both the Java PDF Library ExtendedEdition and Java Report Generator Extended Edition.
