Line mare breeding is the main part of the successful mare breeding program and oneof the main reasons Diamond Cross horses are often sold before they are even born.Two well-known Texas horse breeders have been very successful in their efforts-H.J.Wiescamp and the King Ranch. Hank Wiescamp used line breeding with his Quarter Horseand Appaloosa breeding programs. The King Ranch used line breeding to establishtheir family of Quarter Horses through the foundation sire Old Sorrel.
