The fitness duo at Fiaro launches `That`s A Wrap` to Protect Against Germs at the Gym

product is a neoprene "wrap" that opens and closes witha velcro strip - it is easy to take on and off, easy to clean, and fits around mostdumbbell handles and weight machine handles. This exciting new product has been in the works for almost a year. It startedwith the concept that weight lifting gloves left the fingertips exposed to germs- and sometimes uncomfortable metal grips found on many dumbbells. After an extensive search to find a product that could be placed on the dumbbellor machine handle directly the Fiaro team came up empty handed.The two begantesting a variety of materials from foam to rubber tubing to create their productby hand. They tested these materials through months of workouts at Mel's home gymbut found slight disadvantages to everything they tested. Finally they found that a neoprene wrap was the perfect combination of slightpadding without losing a good grip. They loved the idea so much that theydesigned a logo and a name and had some samples made...if nothing came of it theywere both excited to use the product themselves! They recently launched a marketing campaign aimed at gyms, trainers, coaches,fitness catalogs, and other training facilities. The response has beenoverwhelmingly positive and they are now accepting wholesale orders via email andphone (see contact info below). Through their professional backgrounds both women bring extensive experience in avariety of fields that has helped them to launch this product with such success.Claudia, an LA-based singer/songwriter is also a paralegal - and her experienceand industry contacts have aided Fiaro in protecting their new ideas. She is alsoa fitness fanatic and now uses That's A Wrap each time she goes to the gym. Mel,a NY based finance professional handles all of the company's finances and productpricing. She is also a certified personal trainer with the American Council onExercise and she too uses the wraps everyday!
