The World Wide Web has its own home page on the internet - 16years after its inception - thanks to the efforts of 2 Birmingham based businessmen. Trevor Tierney and Dave Pottinger spent 10 months creating thewww.worldwidewebhomepage.c om - a website that acts as a global shop window forbusinesses.
These businesses gain a distinct advantage over millions of websites currently inexistence on the web.  The World Wide Web Homepage is in essence, a map of theWorld , commented Trevor.  It has many features with unlimited online marketingavenues. These avenues will contribute towards the continued ongoing promotion ofthe World Wide Web homepage and its advertisers.Â
The Homepage is split into 3 advertising sections - Home, Charity and Standard. Themap of the world on the Home page is divided into 4,000 plot purchases, personalisedwith location names. Plot Purchasers are able to promote the fact they havepurchased locations - such as London, Paris or Rome on the World Wide Web - as wellas drive traffic to their websites and gain exposure for their businesses.
The Charity page allows Companies to donate proceeds to 30 selected charitablecauses, in turn promoting their own Company on a worldwide platform. Divided into 3sections, they cover Charities, Good Causes and Worthy Projects. The Standard pageallows a plot within a map of the world to be purchased up to 5 times  allowingsmall business to advertise and be part of the homepage of the World Wide Web.
