Castle Computer Technologies has released Key Control, apowerful Windows program that makes it easy to keep track of company laptops, creditcards, keys, and all assets that are temporarily assigned to employees. At a glance,you can tell which employees have signed out which equipment.It's easy to create a master inventory of your organization's loanable items, fromcomputers and dictating machines to credit cards and cell phones. Similarly, you cancreate a list of all of your employees. Assigning items to individuals is as simpleas dragging the item name, and dropping it onto the name of the individual who it iscurrently assigned to.You can track employees by name, badge number, department, and active/inactivestatus, and see immediately which assets have been assigned to them. You canmaintain a database of an unlimited number of assets, including descriptions andserial numbers. Key Control keeps track of who has possession of each asset, when itwas assigned to them, and when it was returned.Key Control includes a comprehensive set of reports. It's easy to select theinformation that you need, sort it meaningfully, include or exclude categories ofpeople or assets, and print only the information that you need. All reports can besaved in text, Adobe Acrobat (.PDF), and web page (.HTML) formats.
You can also export data so that you can read it into your favorite spreadsheet ordatabase. Similarly, it's easy to import employee and asset information from yourpersonnel and inventory systems.
