The contest administrator had this to say  The dream of an all encompassing globalbeauty competition is nothing new but this is the first time in history it has everbeen truly attempted. This contest represents the evolution of beauty conteststandards and a move towards a more generic approach to what is consideredbeautiful. Before this contest, similar competitions were judged by small groupsusually populated by beauty and fashion industry insiders who were then given strictrules as to what they were looking for, in regards to judgment criteria. Neverbefore has the judgment been completely up to the individual doing the voting. Thiscontest allows the entire web population to log on and vote for the contestants theythink represent The Ultimate Beauty Queen.  Tony Griffith, VBM.
This contest may just represent the future of web-pageantry and continues to grow inpopularity every hour using the power of the internet. The site in its first yearwith no promotion logged 500+ contestants from over 60 countries, 300,000+ judgesand over 5.8 million server request. Times have changed and it looks like beautypageants are also embracing the power of the internet.
