Nicknamed "PM Earth", the new site is set to become a leading portal for projectmanagers worldwide. While details of the new site are kept a closely guarded secretby the Method123 management team, they have announced that the portal will includenew tools and techniques never before used in the community.
A holding site has just been released today at www.pmearth.com which provides abrief summary of a few of the key pages on the site. There are already a number ofportals in existence in the project management domain. So Method123 has decided on a"unique approach" to offering free materials for Project Managers.
"Building a new portal which will be widely used by 250 countries worldwide, is ahuge challenge," says Jason Westland, founder and CEO of Method123 Ltd. "You need anovel idea and a unique offering that suits all types of projects in all industries. We have spent the last 6 months researching our target market and identifying theirneeds. We have now designed an offering that we believe all project managers in allindustries, will find valuable," says Westland.
So why will this portal be different than the rest? Method123 say that they haveidentified new ways of reaching out to project managers. They are building cuttingedge technology to be able to supply project managers with the knowledge, tools andtechniques that they need to deliver projects successfully.
Method123 won't say what these new technologies are, as they believe them toovaluable to communicate prior to the release of the site. They have stated that theyare not building a portal that resembles other portals for project management on themarket, such as; Gantthead, AllPM or 4PM. These sites currently have a set amount ofintellectual property that they give away for free, to attract people to purchasetheir premium products or services. It is likely that in total, more than 1 millionpeople use these existing project management portals to obtain free knowledge andhelp them deliver projects. PM Earth will approach this sizeable demand from adifferent perspective to that currently available in the market.
"The project management market is huge," says Westland. "We believe that there aremore than 30 million project managers worldwide, and the number of people involvedin projects totals more than 150 million. All of these managers and teams have onecommon goal; to use their existing knowledge, tools and skills to deliver theirproject on time and under budget. To help them to do this, PM Earth will providethem with the knowledge and tools they need to boost their chances of success. It'sa challenging task, but we believe we have created an offering that will beincredibly beneficial to project managers and teams upon released. It certainly willbe a one-of-a-kind website," says Westland.
PM Earth is currently in the design phase of the project and is intended to bereleased within the next 3 months. In total, it will have more than 1000 contentpages, which help project managers and teams to complete projects.
